Computerized Wrestling Program Computerized Wrestling Program I have been involved in high school athletics for 35+ years and have been managing wrestling tournaments for most of those years. In the fall of 1983, I began writing a computer program prototype for wrestling tournaments and used it for 3 league and 2 sectional tournaments the following February. In the 2000-2001 wrestling season, Computerized Wrestling Program was used for over 40 high school wrestling tournaments in Ohio including 9 sectionals and 4 districts. Since 1995, I have provided computer support services for the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament and since 2001 also provided the same type of services for the OHSAA State Track Tournament and OHSAA Cross Country Tournaments. Names and schools are entered only once and the program generates everything needed for a complete tournament including weigh-in sheets, seed nomination lists, brackets, match score sheets, and results. Programs are available for everything from an 8 team double elimination tournament to 44 teams using a 32-man bracket with rat-tails. Both the and the with 40* teams were drawn in less than 10 minutes on day of the tournament after weigh-ins were completed! Other versions include a 8-Team, 10-Team, 12-Team,and 16-Team Individual Pool, 16-Team Double-Elimination, and 24 teams tournaments using a 16-man bracket with rat-tails. The programs for the Sectional, District and State Tournaments are designed so teams and wrestlers are entered only once at the Sectional level. All names, grades and records are automatically updated during the tournament and qualifier data is transferred and integrated into programs for the District and State Tournament.
